We apologize for the inconvenience, but registration for the Bunny Hop is full and now closed due to reaching our 500 participant cap. If you would still like to participate in the Bunny Hop, please come to pre-registration at 2:45 p.m. on the day of the event and we will fill any spots left open by pre-registered participants who do not show up.
The 2018 Kids’ Bunny Hop Fun Run will be held March 24, 2018 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Portage West Middle School, 7145 Moorsbridge Rd., Portage, MI 49024. This is a free event open to the community if you pre-register. $5.00 registration fee on day of event. Donations will be accepted to benefit Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes. Register here.
The Kids’ Bunny Hop Fun Run schedule is as follows:
- 2 p.m.: Check-in & various kids activities including dancing, face painting, coloring, photo booth (bring your own camera), and more
- 3:30 p.m.: Fun Run and Easter egg hunt
- 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.: Dancing, refreshments and door prize giveaways!
Your child’s enjoyment and success at the Fun Run and Easter egg hunt is very important to us. Children must be accompanied by an adult, but you do not need to run. Course marshals will be on hand for support. Please select the group most appropriate for your child (ages below provided as guidelines only), so that we can best prepare for the number of children participating in each group:
Baby Bunnies (under age 2) will fun run and scavenge for eggs in their own area of the Easter Bunny’s Playground.
Little Bunnies (ages 2 through 5) will fun run and scavenge for eggs on a ½ mile of the cross-country course.
Big Bunnies (ages 6 through 12) will scavenge for eggs on an approximate one-mile cross-country course.
Parents are welcome to accompany children. Course marshals will be present.
Children need to bring their own Easter basket. Refreshments and dancing provided after the run.
Online registration closes March 23 at 12 p.m. Event Day registration will be in the School Cafeteria from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Kid’s activities will be held in the gymnasium. Refreshments for the kids will be held in the cafeteria immediately following the fun run.
