
We are one month out from the first race in the 2025 Club Championship Series, and we have a great lineup of races to announce for the year with a lot of familiar events and a couple fun new things as well. KAR members are encouraged to participate in as many of these races as they would like. For each run that members complete, they will earn points based on how they finish. At the end of the season, we tally up the points and present our Club Championship awards based on overall and age group rankings at a special event.
This year’s lineup is as follows, with links to register for those that are already open. Note that this is subject to change if a race is unexpectedly cancelled; most of these races are run by organizations outside of KAR:
- Drew Russell Memorial Run 5K – April 5th in Kalamazoo
- Kal Haven Trail Run Ultra – April 12th from Kalamazoo to South Haven (note: Club Championship points only for the solo run)
- Ziegler Kalamazoo Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K – May 4th in Kalamazoo
- Vicksburg Hearty Hustle 5K – May 10th in Vicksburg
- Oaklawn Color Classic 5K – May 17th in Marshall
- Run to Climax 7K – May 26th (Memorial Day) in Climax
- Cereal City Classic 5K/10K – June 14th in Battle Creek
- Kalamazoo Klassic 5K/10K – June 14th in Kalamazoo
- Cheetah Chase 5K – June 21st in Battle Creek (inside Binder Park Zoo)
- Firecracker Five-Miler – July 4th in Schoolcraft (returning after one-year construction hiatus!)
- Kathy’s Run for Cancer 5K/10K – July 4th in Richland
- Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5K – July 5th in Battle Creek
- Kindleberger 5K – July 12th in Parchment
- New KAR one-mile race! – July 24th at Prairie View County Park – more details to come!
- Mattawan Wildcat Road and Trail 5K – August 2nd in Mattawan
- Otsego Ready or Not 5K – August 2nd in Otsego
- Grape Lake 5K – in Paw Paw, date in September to be confirmed
- Bronson Children’s Hospital 5K – September 28th in Kalamazoo
Remember all active KAR members should receive a $5 discount on registrations. There are additional races coming in July, August, and September. Look for further information later in the summer!
