Club Championship Series and Race Discount Program
In 2004, the Kalamazoo Area Runners began to administer the "Kalamazoo Area Runners Club Championship Series." All club members are automatically enrolled in the series. Non-club members cannot participate.
Club Championship Series events offer a discount to KAR and most events using a RunSignUp registration platform apply the discount to club members automatically. A few events (noted in the list below) require the KAR membership 4-digit code. Club Series age group awards will be presented to the top 3 in each age division, male and female, at the Club Series Awards Celebration in November. Time points are added for each runner’s best 7 races. Points for each race are determined as follows: Time points = winner time/runner time * 100.

- Kal Haven Trail Run Ultra - April 12th from Kalamazoo to South Haven (note: Club Championship points only for the solo run)

- Vicksburg Hearty Hustle 5K - May 10th in Vicksburg
- Oaklawn Color Classic 5K - May 17th in Marshall

- Cereal City Classic 5K/10K - June 14th in Battle Creek
- Kalamazoo Klassic 5K/10K - June 14th in Kalamazoo
- Cheetah Chase 5K - June 21st in Battle Creek (inside Binder Park Zoo)
- Firecracker Five-Miler - July 4th in Schoolcraft (returning after one-year construction hiatus!)
- Kathy's Run for Cancer 5K/10K - July 4th in Richland
- Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5K - July 5th in Battle Creek
- Kindleberger 5K - July 12th in Parchment
- KAR Prairie View 1-Mile Challenge New KAR one-mile race! - July 24th at Prairie View County Park - more details to come!
- Mattawan Wildcat Road and Trail 5K - August 2nd in Mattawan
- Otsego Ready or Not 5K - August 2nd in Otsego
