Dear Kalamazoo Area Runners (KAR) Members,
It is that time again, for KAR members to gather for our Annual Meeting. This is an opportunity to reflect on the past year, celebrate our achievements, and look ahead to all the exciting things in store for Kalamazoo Area Runners in the coming months.

Here’s what we’ll cover during our meeting:
- Annual Election: We will be holding elections for open board positions. This is your chance to have a say in the leadership of our club and help shape the direction we take in the year ahead. The following positions are open this year. All current KAR members are eligible to run:
- President: Gary Brookmyer Lambert is seeking re-election to a two year term
- Treasurer: Nick Schwerin is seeking re-election to a two year term
- Secretary: James Atkinson election is being codified by the membership to complete a vacancy left by resignation. One year term.
- Board Member at Large: Eli Lake is seeking to have his election to a one year position codified by the membership. Haley Crowe and Jon Deming are both seeking re-election to a two year position.
- In total, there are three (3) board positions open one (1) one year position and two (2) two year positions.
- Club Update: Get the latest news on the growth and direction of the club, including key achievements and important updates.
- Runner Recognition Awards: We’ll be honoring some standout members who have gone above and beyond this year, whether through impressive performances, volunteer work, or incredible sportsmanship.
- Discussion on Events: A review of our past events, current initiatives, and what exciting races, social runs, and volunteer opportunities are coming up. We’d love your input as we plan for the future.
